I was visiting Sydney for a few months in 2016/2017. I was asked to assist a furniture company, Smithmde, implement a stock control system called Dear inventory.
Smithmade had a Basic Shopify site. As part of my the stock system project I developed their store and integrated the shopify site website with Dear inventory
These are some of the tasks I completed:
- Research, implement and modify (including custom changes) a number of themes (pacific, parallax, pipeline, canopy)
- Recreate & Improve the look and feel of the store.
- Integrate with facebook, instagram, mailchimp, lifterapp, google analytics.
- Setup collections, products & variants for > 2000 products
- Integrate with Dear inventory for stock management.
- Integrate with Xero accounting system.
- Move all activities from the existing Vend POS system to Dear/Shopify.
- Setup and test the Shopify POS system.
- Research Shipping options for large bulky items with different dropship times (Shippit, AusCarrier)
Smithmade sell large items of high end furniture. The site was primarily used to site to drive awareness and traffic to their store in Sydney. They are planning to introduce more products to the site in the coming months.
